在诗歌翻译中如何使用异化和归化译法向来是翻译界的争议之一。作为两种翻译策略，异化和归化是相辅相成的。本文拟从西方修辞学中的目标读者视角出发，探讨唐诗英译中异化与归化策略的选择，为不同的读者群架构起一座跨越诗歌文化鸿沟的桥梁。

The Translation Strategy for Conveying the Sublimity of Tang Poetry by Balancing the Foreignizing and the Domesticating Method

Whether to adopt a foreignizing or a domesticating approach in poetry translation has long been a controversy in trans- lation circle. As the two primary translation strategies, however, foreignizing and domesticating are complimentary to each other and mutually reinforcing. From the perspective of targeting readers in western rhetoric, this paper explores the selection of for- eiguizing or domesticating strategy in Chinese-English translation of Tang Poetry so as to set up a bridge for different reader groups over poetic and cuhural border.
