汉诗英译中的人称可译性

汉语诗歌中人称代词的可译性是可译性问题的一个方面。不可译论者认为汉诗英译时增补人称代词会导致人称判断问题 ,从而破坏源语诗歌“天人合一”的境界。但是 ,从人称代词所指、作者意图、含义判断等几个不同的方面来看 ,汉语诗歌人称代词的隐藏并不构成翻译上的“人称判断”难题 ,也不一定是“天人合一”体现。汉诗英译过程中人称代词在不同文化之间的转换不仅是可行的 ,也是必要的。

On the Translatability of Personal Pronouns in Chinese Poetry

The problem of the translatability of personal pronouns in Chinese poetry is one of the dimensions of translatability of Chinese poetry. Scholars believing in non-translatability of poetry take it for granted that, in translating Chinese poems into English, adding pronouns to the translated poems will destroy the natural harmony of the source poem. However, analysis shows that this may not be the case. Actually, the cultural switching of personal pronouns from Chinese to English is both feasible and necessary.
