| Abstract: | Babbitt, Sinclair Lewis' masterpiece, applies the western tradition of humanitarianism and the theory of human nature to an investigation of the connotation and representation of human nature. This is the novelist' most significant contribution to the 20th century American literature. It is through Babbitt that the reader can see the real twists and turns of human nature. |
