A Study on the Construction of Professional Associations and their Ethic Articles in Engineering Ethics

The role an engineering professional association and its articles play in promoting the construction of engineering ethics depends on the attributes and standpoints of the engineering association which determine its ideal goal,its operation model and its purpose and content of making ethical articles of association.In order to play an active role in the development of engineering ethics,the engineering professional associations are obliged to improve their qualities,to take the public interest as their own duty,to take a fair position to deal with moral conflicts,to set up a professional aspiration and professional moral ideal and to try their best for the benefits of the public.The ethical articles must be enacted for the purpose of realizing the professional aspirations and pro-fessional moral ideals,include the moral baseline and moral ideal,and keep pace with the development of the era in their breadth,depth and accuracy.The professionals should not only be contented with complying with the ethical articles,but also replenish them with various forms such as case studies.Realizing professional and ethical ideals is the fundamental factor for the existence of the engineering professional associations and its arti-cles.
