中国公共艺术的发展与探究

20世纪70年代末首都机场大型壁画的落成，标志着中国公共艺术的兴起。改革开放三十年来，中国公共艺术从最初的探索阶段发展到现在的初具规模。多元开放的90年代，公共艺术的发展达到高峰。北京奥运会、上海世博会的成功举行，让人们看到被激发的公共艺术将推动中国当代文化社会的民主进程；让公共艺术贴近民众，促进艺术多元化；让更多更好的公共艺术走进街道、社区普惠于民众。公共艺术的精品化，不仅能成为一个时代的标志和象征，还必将会为城市留下宝贵遗产。

On Development and Exploration of Public Art in China

In the late 1970s,the completion of large murals at Beijing Capital Airport marked the rise of Chinese public art.Over the past 30 years of reform and opening-up,the Chinese public art built up from the initial exploration stage to certain scale.Since 1990s,the development of public art reached its peak.The hold of the Beijng Olympic Games and Shanghai World Expo demonstrated that the motivated public art could promote the democratic processes of Chinese contemporary culture and society.The public art should press close to life so as to promote the diversity of art and benefit people in the local neighborhoods and communities with more and better public arts.The excelsior public art will not only become a sign and symbol of the times,but also leave a precious heritage for the city.
