英汉语言中颜色词象征意义的对比研究

颜色词是人类语言中主要的感官词之一，是每一个民族文化和语言中不可缺少的重要部分，它独特的语言功能和深广的文化象征意义，反映着一个民族独到的色彩意思和文化传统。其在不同民族语言中往往有不同的特点，有些特点甚至构成了人们对经过引申、转义以后颜色的崇尚和禁忌。这种差异是由于各自民族的文化历史背景、审美心理的不同而产生的，是在社会的发展、历史的沉淀中约定俗成的，是一种永久性的文化现象。本文试图从中西文化对比的角度，分析各民族文化发展对颜色词的象征意义的影响。

A Contrastive Study on the Symbolic Meanings of Color Words in English and Chinese

Color words belong to the main sensory words of human language,and they are the indispensable parts of language and culture of a nation.Their unique language function and broad cultural symbolic meaning reflect special color meaning and cultural tradition.Color words in different nations have different features,some of which,after being extended and converted,have become reverence and taboo words of colors.This difference is caused by different historical and cultural background as well as aesthetic psychology of different nations,and is established with the development of society and history,therefore it is a permanent cultural phenomenon.This paper,from the perspective of contrastive analysis of Chinese and western culture,analyzes the influence of culture on the symbolic meanings of color words.
