| Abstract: | Chinese vulgar characters collected in the Jiyun andLeipian fall into the following seven categories：simplified, complicated, element changed, erroneous use, writing simplified, newly - created and borrowing. Refleeting the development tendency of Chinese character system, these Chinese vulgar characters have important research value. |
