| Abstract: | In the teaching "Ancient Literature", imparting literary knowledge is often overemphasized while students' development of literary competence is very much ignored. This paper analyses the disadvantages of the current practice and presents the vital role that the course can play in cultivating university students' literary creativity in a sense that it construes the driving force for literary creation. The cultivation of university students' mentality is the focus of the discussion. |
