Between Royal Court and Marketplace: A New Survey of the Trend of Thought in Yongming Literature

It's a common occurrence that royal court music is affected by folk songs.But there has never been such a kind of folk music as Wusheng and Xiqu which were widely accepted and spread in the whole upper class in the Southern Dynasty.The thesis digs up the cause of this phenomenon.The royal court was filled with the posture of marketplace in the environment where the nobles had humble origins,a large number of humble persons were appointed to official positions,and there was a common atmosphere of the ruling class engaged in trade.All these contributed to the trend of thought in Yongming Literature.
