中国文论传统及其现代命运

中国古代文论有三大传统:一是工具主义传统,二是审美主义传统,三是以文本为中心的诗文评传统。这三大文论传统均与古代文人士大夫某一方面的精神追求息息相关。但是到了现代,中国古代文人逐渐为现代知识分子所取代,他们的精神追求也发生了很大变化,与此相应,上述三大文论传统也各有其不同的命运。

Tradition of Chinese Literary Theory and Its Modern Fate

There are three major traditions in ancient Chinese literary theory, namely, the tradition of instrumentalism, of aesthetic concern, and of the critique of poetry and essay that takes text as its center. These three traditions are all related to mental pursuant of some kind by the ancient men of letters and the scholar-officials. But when it comes to the modern age, the ancient Chinese men of letters are substituted with modern intellectuals, and there has been a great change in their mental pursuant. Accordingly, the above-mentioned three traditions have their respective fates.
