| Abstract: | This paper systematically analyzes the problems about the frequent conflict of land requisition relocation,official corruption and the long-standing high prices in China’s real estate industry by using industrial organization theory and rent-seeking theory.On this basis,this paper argues that local governments and related government officials strongly intervene in the real estate industry and create rent without restraint and the accompanying active rent-seeking carried out by the real estate developers are root causes of the problems. |
