艰难的抉择与融合——浅论“华夷之辨”观念对中华民族史的负面影响

“华夷之辨”的观念对中华民族之融合史曾经产生过消极的、负面的影响 ,这一负面影响在少数民族建立政权的时代表现得尤为明显。经过长期的交流与磨合 ,一方面 ,少数民族统治者从观念、政策到具体行动等各方面都尽力淡化华夷之别 ;另一方面 ,汉族人经过艰难痛苦的抉择 ,最终使“华夷之辨”观念的消极影响不断地艰难地被消除 ,各民族间进一步融合 ,从而使中华民族变得更为团结、强大 ,巍然屹立于世界民族之林

Difficult choice and fusion--comment on view of "differentiating Chinese from foreigners" and its negative effects in Chinese nationality history

The view of “differentiating Chinese from foreigners” had produced some negative influences on the historical fusion of Chinese nations, especially in the time that China was controlled under minorities' political power. After long period of communication and adjustment, on one hand, the minorities' rulers did great deal, either in views, policies or in actions, to eliminate the differentiation of Chinese and foreigners; on the other hand, Han nationality greatly suffered from making choice and, gradually and hard, eliminated the negative influences of the differentiating Chinese and foreigners, further fusion of different nationalities was reached and China became stronger and more united country standing in the world
