科学社会主义不是一成不变的教条 ,而是需要不断发展、创新的理论。它与现实社会主义之间不能简单视为一般与个别的关系。要建设有中国特色社会主义 ,就必须解放思想 ,与时俱进。在社会主义的本质中 ,解放和发展生产力是根本基础 ,消灭剥削 ,消除两极分化 ,实现共同富裕是一个逐步实践的辩证过程。在生产方式的矛盾运动中 ,只有落后的生产关系而没有落后的生产力 ,生产关系的先进性是相对的

Philosophic Reflection on Scientific Socialism

Scientific socialism is not an invariable dogma, but requires development and innovation ceaselessly. The relation between scientific socialism and practical socialism is not the one between commonness and individuality. Building socialism with Chinese characteristics, our concept must be changed. In the essence of,socialism liberating and developing productivity is the prime base. Annihilating exploitation, eliminating polarization and achieving together affluence, is the course of practice stage by stage. In the evolution of the mode of production, there is the backward productive relationship, but there is not the backward productivity. The advanced productive relationship is relative.
