Non-government Organization and Anti-corruption: Theoretical Backgrounds and International Experience

Non-government organization(NGO) has become important forces in the world anti-corruption movement.The paper argues that theories of government failure and market failure,logic of collective action,social capital and governance could provide theoretical backgrounds to NGO's anti-corruption activities.With the review of international practice,it is admitted that NGO could play an important role in building national integrity system by attending decision making and anti-corruption legislation,reporting and monitoring corruption,evaluating the Corruption Perceptions Index and influencing political election.
