Romantic Hermeneutics and Schleiermacher

The author analyses romantic hermeneutics by first commenting on Ast and Schlegel and then on Schleiermacher,explaining the important connotation of the ideas of the latter,such as the universality of misunderstanding,strict hermeneutic practice,the reason for a better understanding of the meaning than that intended by the author himself,and the dialectic of hermeneutics.An inherent connection among this is also hinted.Specifically,we can notice the revolutionary significance of Schleiermacher in modern hermeneutics and the transcendence of romantic hermeneutics represented by him over previous rational General Hermeneutics.
