A Research into the Developing Strategy of Urbanization in Ethnic Areas in Hubei

This paper analyzes and evaluates the situation of urbanization characterized by the small scale of small and medium-sized towns, small quantities of cities, low level of modernization and weak synthetic competition in ethnic areas in Hubei and the causes this situation. This paper puts forward the developing strategy of urbanization in these regions: on the premise of following the general law of urbanization development, we should select a suitable path to promote the urbanization in Hubei province. This path should be in harmony with the integral urbanization development strategy of Hubei province so as to utilize the resources in this administrative division and it should be integrated into the process of West Development.
