| Abstract: | As a key figure in the emergence of the Hunan military forces,LUO Bing-zhang played a significant role in the management of Hunan and Sichuan Provinces and,because of his intimate personal relations in the government agencies,exerted a great influence upon the political life of the Qing Dynasty during the reign of Xianfeng and Tongzhi. |
