基于h指数的科研人员学术评价及其相关性分析

利用CNKI引文数据库为数据源,收集h指数≥10共985位科研人员的相关信息,阐述h指数的特征及其在科研人员学术评价中的适用性,从发文量、被引频次、年龄、科研单位、学科类别、地区等方面对h指数进行实证分析和对比研究,揭示h指数产生差异的影响因素,在此基础上说明h指数的利弊并提出可行性建议,以期为h指数的正确应用提供参考。研究发现:(1)h指数综合考虑论文产出数量和影响力,能够比较准确地评价科研人员的学术成就,但自身也存在局限性;(2)h指数与被引频次有较强的相关性,与发文量关系较弱,与科研人员的年龄无关;(3)h指数在不同科研单位、不同学科间的差异很大,不适合用于跨学科之间的比较;(4)不同省份科研人员h指数平均水平有显著的统计差异。

Application of h-index in evaluating academic performance of researchers and its correlation analysis

985 scientists′ information with h-index≥10 has been collected from CNKI Citation Database,and the characteristics and applicability of h-index in evaluating academic performance of researchers are discussed.Empirical analysis and comparison research of h-index are conducted in terms of the number of published papers,the number of citations,age,scientific research unit,subject and district to reveal the affecting factors of the various h-indexes.Accordingly the advantages and disadvantages of h-index are discovered and the feasible proposals are offered in order to provide reference for the validity use of h-index.The research results are as follows.(1)h-index has combined the quantity and influence of thesis,can be used to evaluate individual′s academic performance,but its limits also can be found;(2)h-index has intense positive correlation with citation number,not significantly correlation with the number of papers,not with age either;(3)There is conspicuous diversity in h-index among various scientific units and subjects,it doesn′t suit to be used to evaluate researchers in different subjects;(4)Researchers in different provinces have notable difference in h-index.
