Restricting factors of professional title assessment system reform in colleges and universities

Current status of the reform of professional title assessment system for college and university teachers in Fujian Province is reviewed,and its restricting factors are analyzed.Accordingly it is proposed that the direction of the reform of professional title assessment system in colleges and universities is to optimize the quantitative indexes of professional titles assessment,and that independent appraisal of professional titles by colleges and universities or other social groups and organizations should be adopted gradually,meanwhile to build the system supporting the professional title assessment and to coordinate the policy concerned.
