In a time of peace, neither Congo the country nor the brutal war is familiar to readers. Besides, it＇ s not a simple problem of love or hatred for people about Mama Nadi due to her contradictory double characters. What＇s more, an open end- ing makes readers unable to testify their guesses or expectations about where the play is going, and thus leaves more space for them to think. All these techniques call for readers to objectively think about the Congo Civil War and to make rational judgments.
