《毁灭》的布莱希特戏剧艺术特色

摘    要:诺塔奇的《毁灭》是一部反映战乱中刚果妇女悲惨生活的戏剧.其叙事技巧和结构设置在很大程度上具有布莱希特间离效果的戏剧艺术特色.刚果这个国家以及战争主题对和平年代的读者来说是陌生的,纳迪妈妈这个亦正亦邪的矛盾体让人说不出是爱还是恨,无法产生共鸣,而开放式的结局又让读者无法印证对结局的猜想,留给读者更多的思考空间.这些艺术手段促使观众站在客观的立场上对战争作出理性的评判.

Abstract:Lynn Nottage' s Ruined is a play showcasing the miserable life of women in the war of Democratic Republic of Congo. Both the narrative techniques and the setting of the structure and characters imply the theatrical features of Brecht' s alien- ation effect. In a time of peace, neither Congo the country nor the brutal war is familiar to readers. Besides, it' s not a simple problem of love or hatred for people about Mama Nadi due to her contradictory double characters. What's more, an open end- ing makes readers unable to testify their guesses or expectations about where the play is going, and thus leaves more space for them to think. All these techniques call for readers to objectively think about the Congo Civil War and to make rational judgments.
