翻译“信”度与语义的文化观照

翻译过程中的语义解析不能拘泥于字词之"信",必须观照超语言的文化元素,以实现对"信"度的准确把握。语义的内涵层面、社会层面以及搭配层面等都与源语或目的语国家的民族心理、思维习惯、历史典故、时代背景等文化因素紧密相关,只有将这些文化元素纳入语义解析的范畴,才能确保真正"信"于源语的翻译目标的实现。

"Faithfulness" and Cultural Meaning in Translation

It is important to take the cultural elements into consideration when a word is translated. Cultural elements such as national psychology,history,social background and habitual behavior are all closely connected with the meaning of a word.In order to apply the principle of faithfulness correctly to translation, the paper tries to make some analysis on the connotative meaning,social meaning and collocative meaning of a word when it is interpreted,so as to realize true faithfulness in translation.
