| Abstract: | The rational spirit of Song Poetry is the outcome of the prevailing mores in Song Dynasty. As oneof the significant factors that distinguishes Song style of poetry from the Tang style ofpoetry, the rational spiritin Song poetry can be traced from 1) the rational expression of emotions in the aesthetic taste of the poets whopursued the simplicity ofpoetic expression and 2) the rationality-oriented propensity ofimparting ideas throughpoems. |
