民族志方法在大学英语教学中的应用

民族志的研究方法在国外得到广泛运用,已经从对原始文化的研究延伸到社会科学的各个领域。而在国内,民族志方法大部分局限于社会学和人类学的研究,很少有关于大学英语教学的研究。从民族志的定义和特征入手,探究民族志可以用于大学英语教学研究的原因以及教师如何运用该方法从事研究,可以让它更好地为大学英语教学理论和实践服务。

Application of Ethnography in College English Teaching

The research methodology of ethnography which was formerly utilized in the study of primitive culture,is so widely used abroad that it has been employed in every area of social science.However,so far as its application at home is concerned,it is merely confined to the research of sociology and anthropology,not to mention college English teaching.Based on the definition and features of ethnography,this paper aims at exploring the feasibilities of this methodology in college English teaching and the way with which teachers can more fruitfully conduct research into theory and practice of college English teaching.
