温度图式作为一种重要的基本意象图式，在英语概念系统中具有不容忽视的作用。研究表明：基于温度图式的英语概念隐喻表达，可以通过4个温度范畴投射到8个隐喻领域：疾病、色彩、兴趣与注意力、人或事物的活动程度、情感、社会地位、危险与压力、知识理解力，从而为下列假说提供佐证，即人类通过具体的身体经验来隐喻性地理解和构筑抽象的思维、情感：态度等概念系统。

A Study on Temperature-Schema Based Metaphors in English

As an important image-schema, temperature schema plays an indispensable role in English conceptual systems. The study indicates English metaphors of temperatures involve four categories. The implications of which include eight fields： illnesses, colours, interests or attentions, activities, emotions, social status, pressures, and understanding of knowledge. Which has provided proof for the hypothesis ——people metaphorically build conceptual systems of thinking, emotions and attitudes with body experiences.
