意象、诗学与认知

摘    要:意象是人类思维活动中基本而又无处不在的构成要素之一,是象征和思维的认知先决条件。对意象的诗学功能进行研究为了解具有想象能力的心智的认知语义打开了一扇窗。意象是诗歌意义产生中普遍而核心的维度。然而,认知诗学迄今为止在阐释语义及符号机制方面尝试甚微。为深化认知语义符号框架内的诗学意象研究,需在单纯诗学解读和认知研究间建立直接关联,从而关注并探究诗学语篇中意义的产生,而非只是将诗歌作为对认知语义学中某些概念的佐证。

Abstract:Imagery,as a cognitive prerequisite of symbolization and thought,is a fundamental and pervasive constituent of the mental life of human beings.The study of the poetic functions of imagery offers us a window into the cognitive semantics of the imaginative mind.Imagery is a manifestly central dimension in poetic meaning production.For the sake of the development of the research upon poetic imagery in the framework of a cognitive semantics and semiotics,the direct interrelation of plain literary reading and cognitive research is suggested.Such an approach renders it possible that we may openly focus on and exploring meaning production as it occurs in the poetic text,rather than use poetry only to illustrate certain notions in cognitive semantics.
