Love as an Expression of Nothingness:A Case Study of "Mourning the Passing"

Any writer who puts his or her heart in the writing will reach beyond the existence to quest for the Being.Lu Xun's works had this quality,so did the contemporary writer Bei Cun.This paper interpreted "Mourning the Passing"-a literary title used by both Lu Xun and Bei Cun,from the Being view,revealing that the fundamental conception of the two novels is nothingness and despair,which is also the starting and end points of both authors for writing the stories.So love stories are used just to express this intention.On the other hand,both novels differ in orientation to spirit redemption.
