Village Affinities between the Hui and Han Villages: the Harmonious Culture among the Folk

In Henan Province,Some Hui villages have century-long brotherhood relationship with certain Han villages,which is known as sheqin,or literally the "village affinities".The traditional moral virtues such as kindness,thanks-giving,keeping promise and keeping faith compose the moral foundation of the relationship.And the ritualized way of feeling communication and the cultural ideas concerning equality,tolerance mutual respect are the guarantees of the relationship.Although the friendship between the Hui and Han villages has their roots in the soil of traditional socio-culture,it still has significant values in modern times.
