Analysis of the Sadness of Poems by Du Xunhe

Du Xunhe was a famous poet, living in bottom of the unstable period. He tried his best to pursue fame and success all his life, experiencing a lot of frustrations and suffering great anguish both physically and mentally. His poetry reflects the voice of mourning of Late Tang Dynasty. This paper attempts to elucidate the sadness implied in Du Xunhe's poems in terms of the sadness of the unstable period, the sadness of the fate, the sadness of the personality.
