| Abstract: | This paper aims to illustrate an important model of regional development which is based on innovation networks of actors, and explains that regional economies can be understood as places of collective technological learning. Regionally developed \!assets\" may be embedded in networks of interactive and exchange relationships. In the context of ZhongGuanCun area of Beijing, regionally rooted technological competence should play an exceptional role. The paper points out a danger that excessive effects put into property-drive regional development. |
