The Formation of Bushido and the Causes of Its Evolution in Modern Age

Within the 1000 years from mid Hean Era to late Edo Era, the samurai （warrior） played an active role in Japan＇s historical arena. As the moral norm which the samurai class followed, Bushido guided and restricted samurai s＇ thoughts and behaviors, and experienced the evolution from motion, system to theory. However, in the modem times, Bushido had not withered away along with samurai＇ s disintegration, but evolved into the belief and moral norm of the Japanese nationality, operated and manipulated by militarism, and characterized by ＂doctrine of the murder＂ and ＂doctrine of the aggression＂.
