| Abstract: | The Lost Daughter of Happiness by Yan Geling is so attractive, not because of its plot but of its attitude and methods of narration. Yan's interest in the forms of narration and her exploration in this area have made the novel unique. The compound narration by various addressees and the deliberate endeavors on historical narration are important perspectives of this novel. |
