Studies on the Position of Translator in the Field of Western Genre of Translation

The translator,as an indispensable element in the translating activity,is attached to more importance and brought into the focuses of translation studies.However,it has not achieved an agreement on specific issues of translator studies,such as the status and tasks of the translator.The translator studies undergo the continuous development.This article analyzes the understandings and viewpoints of each paradigm toward translator studies.
