天庭雅韵与鬼域悲音--济慈的《夜莺颂》与爱伦·坡的《乌鸦》比较研究

Out of discontentment with the earthly world poets have never stopped their pursuit for an ideal world.Both in Keats's Ode to a Nightingale and Allan Poe's The Raven,famous poems eulogizing birds,the poets want to fly together with the birds to a carefree world.But as for what the ideal world should be,Keats and Poe give us quite different answers.Keats depicts a harmonious and warm world while Poe escapes to a horrible and desperate world.The different content is also expressed in different artistic styles.Keats's Ode to a Nightingale is like a song from heaven,tender and thought-provoking while Poe's The Raven is like an elegy in the hell,shocking and threatening.
