论文化差异与大学英语翻译教学

在大学英语翻译教学过程中,文化差异是学生在从字面翻译能力向推论翻译能力发展过度的过程中必然面对的问题。其主要体现是在词句的语用意义、宗教文化、历史背景、地理疆域和社会制度等方面。正确地处理好翻译教学中的文化差异问题,应本着忠实准确地表达原文的意义,保持原文的风格,忠实地反应是非曲折的原貌这一翻译的基本原则。在文化差异背景下,译者可根据英汉两种语言的特征,采用直译、意译、代换、音译、增减词语或给句子成分添加注释等翻译手段,尽量减少英汉两种语言之间的文化差异,帮助目的语读者充分体会原语的文化风格。加强跨文化教学,不断强化在文化差异背景下处理翻译问题的原则和方法,这对于培养和发展学生的英语翻译能力至为重要。

On the Cultural Gap and College Teaching of English Translation

The cultural gap between English and Chinese exists largely in such aspects as pragmatics,history,literature,religion,geography,ideology,etc,and adversely affects college students' ability to translate while they are learning English-Chinese translation skills.Principles and means are put forward to solve problems caused by the cultural gap in hope that students will be helped improve their ability of English-Chinese translation.
