乐户是自北魏立乐籍以来从事各种官方及民间文化娱乐活动的特殊社会群体。明代是乐籍制度急遽变迁的重要时期。乐户向民间的流播 ,使其名籍隶属、生存境遇以及职业所长发生了很大变化 ;同时 ,奏雅乐歌舞、操百戏俗艺的乐户成为官方权力话语和民间意识互动的重要中介 ,并由此带来了雅俗文化观念的对峙与交流。
