| Abstract: | This note is concerned with statistical methods for the two-piece normal (TPN) distribution, A short description of the history and applications of TPN is given and then likelihood-based methods of estimation and testing are discussed, Maximum likelihood estimation for the truncated TPN distribution is also dealt with briefly. |
