当代西方民族理论的主要渊源

本文认为 ,当代西方民族理论与它们的学科分散性特点相对应 ,其理论来源是多元的 ,其中又与早期民族主义理论、自由主义理论、马克思主义以及以涂尔干和韦伯为代表的经典社会理论有着更为密切的关系。文章分别就此做了分析 ,然后指出 ,这些早期理论根植于 18世纪至 2 0世纪初期波澜壮阔的民族运动和复杂的民族问题实践 ,已涉及到当代民族理论探讨的大部分内容 ,对当代民族理论有着直接的借鉴作用。

Some Major Origins of Ethno-theories in the Contemporary West

This paper argues that the ethno-theories in contemporary west have more than one origin as they come from different disciplines. They have closer relation with the earlier ethno-theories, liberalist theories, Marxism and classic social theories of Emily Durkheim and Max Weber. The paper also points out that these earlier theories, which took roots in the upsurging nationalist movements and the practice of complex ethnic problems from 18th to 20th century, have refer to most theses discussed by the contemporary ethno-theories. So we can directly draw on the theories in the studies of nationalism.
