操控理论视角下《醉翁亭记》译本比较研究

欧阳修是北宋著名的散文家和诗人,他的名篇《醉翁亭记》在中国文学史上享有极高的声誉。一千多年来,有多位海内外著名翻译家将其译成英文。20世纪80年代,安德烈·勒菲弗尔提出了翻译中的操控理论,在翻译实践中转而关注意识形态、诗学和赞助人三个因素。文章将以操控理论为基础,着重分析杨宪益、戴乃迭夫妇以及翟里斯的英译版《醉翁亭记》,研究意识形态、诗学和赞助人对翻译实践的影响。

A Comparative Study of the English Versions of Zuiwengtingji from the Perspective of Manipulation Theory

Zuiwengtingji,the magnum opus of Ouyang Xiu,has significant meaning and status in the history of Chinese literature. In the 1980 s,the rewriting theory analyzes the factors in translation practice,such as poetics,ideology and patronage. It is brought up by André Levefere,who is considered the representative of manipulation theory. In this paper,the writer will select Yang Xianyi and Herbert A. Giles＇ s English versions of Zuiwengtingji. The backgrounds of translations and translators will be studied from the perspective of manipulation theory and the influences of the theory on translation activities will be analyzed.
