| 摘 要： | 1840年鸦片战争以降,中国逐渐被纳入近代国家秩序中.清朝统治者被动地接受了这一变局,并努力地在传统王朝国家的基础上构筑近代民族国家.显然,这种主观上的消极性决定了清朝改造国家观的命运.与此同时,一部分知识分子亦参与到这种大讨论中,对未来中国民族国家的构筑提出了各自的理念.在民族国家构建理念的基础上创设一种新的框架,考量边疆民族地区的政治生态与民族心理,以及此间列强对边疆民族地区的政策,进而探讨边疆民族地区政治之变迁,应当成为当前乃至今后中国近代边疆史研究的一个方向.
