| Abstract: | In recent years, more and more scholars come to study metaphor. Among them, some focus their attention on English-Chinese contrastive studies on metaphor. The contents of their research mainly include the following: contrastive study of emotion metaphor, contrastive study of spatial metaphor, contrastive study of temporal metaphor. The paper reviews the achievements on their research, produces some suggestions on its deficiencies and makes prospects for its development. |
