In word classification,English and Chinese have got clear difference.In Chinese Shuci and Liangci are two different word classes,while in English there is not such a word class named Liangci.Therefore,in Chinese both Liangci and Shuci have their own grammar and rhetoric features.In English quantifiers are nouns.The Chinese and English constructions of numerals and quantifiers are quite different.Generally speaking,the Chinese construction is "Num Q N" or "N Num Q",while the English constructions are "Num N" and "Num Q of N".In both English and Chinese,the use of numerals and quantifiers may create the effect of hyperbole,metaphor and euphemism.
