| Abstract: | As one of the marked clauses as well as a critical writing skill,inversion plays an important role in English writing and reading.Examples are drawn to discuss the five chief rhetorical functions of English inversion from the perspective of writing,as well as the types of it,which is supposed to be beneficial to English learners to improve their writing proficiency and appreciation of the English texts. |
