| 摘 要： | 以往对名词化的研究常常是在词汇句法范畴内进行的.本文从语义和语篇的角度对书面科技英语中的名词化现象进行了初步的探讨.作者认为,名词化作为意义潜势被科技语篇作者选择,成为书面科技语篇的重要的词汇语法表达方式,这与名词化在科技语篇中所体现的特定的语义特性是密切相关的.名词化不仅是英语科技语篇的组织手段,而且是重要的交际策略.

| Abstract: | This paper aims to study the phenomenon of nominalization which characterizes the written texts of EST (English for Science and Technology) from the standpoint of systemic-functional congruence in realization. The paper mainly discusses the semantic properties of nominalization, on the basis of which the textual function in written texts of EST is further analyzed. It is argued that nominalization should be considered to have motivated emphasis and prominence of certain meaning conveyed by authors of scientific writings rather than merely semantic combination. The authors of scientific writings actually use nominalization as a textual device and communicative strategy. |
