战国文学的太平洋视域(二)

本文认为鲲化为鹏、海外有山、海外有国以至天外有天的故事,之所以受到部分战国文化巨人的倾情关注,既和当时各国君主崇尚巨美的文化风潮有关,也和一批文学家、哲学家、政治理论家对海天之外的未知领域进行浪漫猜想有关,更和大批文化人士乐于接受随着中西交通而涌进的远方信息有关,甚至还可能和濒海民族尤其是流放远海的越国罪人的航海经历有关。

Literature during the Period of Warring States from a Broad Perspective

The reasons why the literary giants during the period of Warring States were concerned about these legendaries, such as Kun fish changing into roc, there being a mountain, even a country beyond a sea, and there being another heaven beyond this one, are related not only to the monarchs' cultural tendency of admiring giants, but also to the writers', philosophers' and theorists' romantic imagination of unknown areas beyond their own states, and to men of letters taking delight in accepting the information from overseas, even to the navigating experiences of the nations bordering on the seas, especially the banished criminals.
