The Politics and Revolution in Moclern Guangdong in the "View of Southern Culture": On the Basis of Chen Xujing's Arguments

The "View of Southern Culture" was an important standpoint of Chen Xujing, a famous scholar of Guangdong province. He regards Guangdong as the site of "Southern Culture" in China, a place actually influenced by Western cultures. From such a special point of view, he discusses the reason why Guangdong played important roles in modern Chinese political and revolutionary history, and gives us a new explanation that Guangdong can be the starting point of Chinese modern democratic revolution, and contributes to a better understanding of historic significance of Guangdong culture.
