| Abstract: | A qualitative change of epitaphs in Sung dynasty is wailful literature turned to biographical literature. It emphasised on decedent＇s deeds. This article attemps to the further comprehension of the elders choosing a mate for their children and the popular social values, by observing the mate selection between intellectual families presented in the epitaphs of Sung dynasty. |
