| 摘 要： | 美国梦贯穿于美国两百多年文学史的文学主题,探究美国梦的历史文化渊源,却不得不提到它与文学的千丝万缕的联系。20世纪初是美国社会思想观念极具转折时期,美国梦在沿着这一主调继续发展的同时也在不断的充实了时代内容。美国文学里的美国梦是在这种肯定与否定,个人与民族、国家的张力中,不断发展并波及深远的。美国梦与文学的关系确实无法割裂,美国作家在他们的作品中,不断在美国梦的背景下创造着梦的形象,抒写着梦的主题。就20世纪初美国长篇小说中美国梦的文学表现进行深入探讨。
