| 摘 要： | 中国外交机构近代化始于晚清,完成于民初,外交机构也历经了总理衙门、外务部、外交部。总理衙门和外务部在外交机构近代化进程中起到了推动作用,但在封建统治大框架内进行的外交机构变革充满了矛盾和对抗,直至清王朝统治结束,中国外交机构近代化的使命始终没能完成。辛亥革命胜利后,中国建立共和制,在国体发生根本性变化的前提下,北京政府对外交机构进行彻底改造,最终完成了中国外交机构近代化的历史使命。
