蔡元培和谐教育思想及其当代意义

Cai Yuanpei's Harmonious Education Thought and Its Contemporary Significance

Mr.Cai Yuanpei adhered to the thought of Harmonious Education, which rooted in the "neutral and harmonious thought", and inosculated the Chinese traditional Culture and the Western Culture. Mr. Cai took cultivating the harmonious personality as education's ultimate objective, advocated the academic independence and the freedom of thought. He also took the compatibility as his education policy, carrying out the education idea positively which was developing five nurture ideas simultaneously and harmoniously. He insisted to integrate prenatal care, preschool, elementary school, middle school and university. He also implemented the lifelong education. The education idea and practice of Mr. Cai had great significance to the Chinese educational reform, and provided drainless theory and practice support for changing from modern education to the harmonious education.
