厚乐薄诗：柏拉图“反艺术说”辨正

在柏拉图的《理想国》中，诗歌与音乐的艺术地位是不相同的。他的批判集中在诗歌，对于音乐却持欢迎的态度；他不可能提出“把音乐驱逐出理想国”的口号。本文认为这种“厚乐薄诗”的差异是对古希腊诗歌与音乐的特点直接关怀的产物，并具体从柏拉图关于诗歌与音乐的创作来源、社会功用(主要关涉到他的政治观念、文化理想)两个并非独立自足的层面来透视产生差异的复杂原因，试图对学人所谓柏拉图“反艺术说”有所辨正。

Stressing Music,Not Poetry:A Rectification on Plato's Anti-artistic Theory

In Plato's Republic, the artistic status of poetry and that of music are quite different. His critics are leveled against poetry but not intended to send poetry away out of the State, indicating that his attitude to music was not the same. In this article the author holds that the analysis of this difference di- rectly results in rectifying Plato's anti-artistic theory. The contents of the rectification focus on the follow- ing two interwoven aspects: Plato's notion about artistic origins and social function(chiefly of politics and culture).
